Deare Patrick
I am writing to you to thank you for all that you and your Officers and men did when serving under my command in Operation Musketeer. We had the most
difficult task to do and in the early days I almost despaired of ever making sense of the job.
Thanks to you and all your men all went off without serious hitch and the general administarative plan in Port Said had worked extremely smoothly.
I would like to convey my personal congatulations and thanks to you and i hope you will pass on what I have said to all under your command.
With best wishes for Christmas and the New Year,
Yours Sincerly
Brigadier
