Also with story from The Ayrshire Post about the find in 1969 which reads
A Stonemason makes a luck strike working on a Ayr building site. The masonry he was using to make fireplaces had been the foundation stone of the now demolished Corraith House Symington and when was split apart was found to contain a metal casket. Inside were 10 coins a letter, three newspapers, a silver plaque and a French style soap dish, The find by Hugh Kelly of Symington, dates from the laying of the stone June 1846 and was handed over to the Police also with photograph of house before it was demolished in 1968
